Meet River, who would have drowned stuck in a chain link fence (if high tide came in), behind a persons house who found her when alerted by their dog. She is a beautiful Dutch Shepard that has been severely neglected and in need of a loving home or foster home she can blossom in. She is fearful, but very sweet and loving, and will be seen at the vet tomorrow. Please let us know if you may be interested in helping this sweet girl  ...
Update on River: she was seen at the vet today, (sept 7) estimated to be approximately 6 years old, no microchip. She tested negative on all her tests, heartworm, hookworms, whipworms, etc. She was chipped today and will be scheduled for spay surgery soon. (we will cover her spay) River is very timid, but very very sweet. She did great at the vet around other dogs, and was taken to Redbones for some special treats. She rode in the car like a prefect young lady, and even put her ears up for the first time She did good with other dogs there as well, and absolutely no reaction to the resident cat Sunkist. She also, had a spa day, had a nice bath and her nails trimmed which she just laid down for and enjoyed.   River needs a place she can feel secure in and will soak up all the love someone wants to give her. Could you be that someone, looking for a foster or forever home .....Also her ears have been clipped on the ends and her teeth are worn down...vet thinks maybe she was used for breeding...when on a leash she circles maybe because she was tethered? Jennifer is the point of contact for River.....mobile for texting or calling  for adopting this dog.
